Arsenal failed to capitalize on the losses from Manchester United in the title race for the last two weeks. Saturdays comeback draw from 2-0 against West Brom, just shows how poor we are when it comes to winning pivotal games. The Sunderland match was a hard nut to crack as it ended in a stalemate. These dropped points place United in the driving seat of the title race.United currently stay in the top with five points ahead, though Arsenal have a game in hand against Tottenham.
Arsenal Midfielder Andrey Arshavin has stated that Arsenal have any chance of laying hands on the title only by winning all the nine league games remaining in the calender.Arshavin’s 70th minute striker laid the road for comeback as Arsenal equalized through Robin van persie in the closing moments.
Arshavin told in the post match interview -
” What is the difference whether we were losing or winning during the game. There is a final result after the game. That’s what counts. If we haven’t won, then we’ve lost two points. I think that if we want to win the championship of England, we have to win every match. There is no point to wonder about the past. Today? Yes, I scored a goal at the time when I’m usually replaced. ”
Arsenal should stay focused for the next two months to rob the title from United’s grip .
