Cazorla nears Gunners switch

The Malaga playmaker could complete his move to the Emirates Stadium in the next 48 hours.

The Gunners are likely to get the player slightly cheaper than Malaga would wish, due to the financial turmoil at the Estadio La Rosaleda.

Cazorla joined Malaga just 12 months ago for 19m euros, and his performances helped the team to fourth spot in La Liga and a Champions League qualifying spot.

Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini is looking for an increase on that outlay, but the club have admitted since they are embarking on some "internal financial restructuring".

"To sell him for 20m euros would be to give him away - I do not believe the club would do that," Pellegrini said last week.

All this suspense and "the Spanish media claim" stuff is killing me! I'd love to see him at Arsenal but there were similar reports last year on Mata being 'a done deal' and we know how that one turned out. I can see the deal falling through and AW saying "not to worry, we've got Ryo back so that's like a new signing".
