Arsenal running out of time and players

Posted on August 31, 2012 by Bob

As the minutes and hours tick by until the transfer window closes, Arsenal fans are having to hear about potential transfer targets being snapped up by other teams. Is Wenger doing anything behind the scenes? Has he got a top, top, player lined up, or even just some cover in certain positions?

The French keeper Hugo Lloris has signed for Tottenham for a fee of around £10 million, according to the BBC. Gregory van der Wiel has joined Paris Saint-Germain from Ajax for an undisclosed sum. Dimitar Berbatov has moved from Man United to Fulham for less than £5 million and it now looks like Chelsea might snap up the French striker Loic Remy from Marseille.

Maybe these are not the special players that Wenger has been speaking about but he also said not long ago that Arsenal could do with strengthening in all positions. With less than six hours until the window closes, I for one am starting to run out of nails to bite, hair to pull out and both of my dogs are staying well out of my way.

A striker, a right back and a DM would be lovely but at the minute I would settle for any of the above.
