Marouane Chamakh and Nicklas Bendtner are getting close to moves away from Arsenal reports claim. The greatest striker in the world, B52, has been linked with a move to italy in recent weeks, with reports of interest from AC Milan and Juventus. Both Italian sides, however, seemed to have filled the position and it was looking horribly like he would still be a Gunner when the window closed tomorrow.
Juventus may still be signing the Danish internationalafter their proposed transfer of Dimitar Berbatov from Manchester United seems to have fallen through. The Bulgarian striker has heard that Fulham want him and, according to Skysports, he would prefer to stay in the Premier league. Arsenal are not looking for a lot of money for Bendtner but his wages may be a problem.
Turkish club Besiktas have been linked with Chamakh for some time. The manager Samet Aybaba was quoted in the Turkish newspaper Milliyet saying
“We have decided to push forwards in our attempts to sign a striker. There is a high possibility we sign Chamakh.”
The 28-year old Moroccan knows that his international career will suffer if he does not play regularly and, with just one goal in his 19 appearances for Arsenal last season, he is not going to get that at the Emirates.
