Aaron Ramsey Ready To Play Alongside Ryan Shawcross by AM

Wales manager Chris Coleman is prepared to take advantage of changes in FIFA rules to rope in Ryan Shawcross for the Wales national team. The only issue he was concerned about was the possible friction it might create in the dressing room which contains Aaron Ramsey.

Aaron Ramsey is yet to receive any more than a text message apology from Shawcross, following the Stoke City defender’s dangerous tackle on the Welshman back in February 2010, as a result of which Ramsey’s leg was broken in six places. This ensured that tension would run high whenever Arsenal and Stoke City met in the league. Speculation has been rife regarding how Ramsey would welcome Shawcross into the Wales team if he agreed to Coleman’s proposal.

Ramsey in an interview said –
“There is no situation over this. He is the manager and the one who makes the decisions.

“I am the captain and I am the player, I just turn up and play. Ultimately it is up to him.”

Asked if he would have a problem being in the same dressing room as Shawcross, Ramsey said: “I am over what happened in the past. I have moved on since then.

“It is up to the manager, what he feels is the right thing to do for the team, it is his decision.”
Cris Coleman has also revealed that he has held talks with Aaron regarding this issue and the response he has received has been positive. Coleman said –

“I’ve talked to Aaron. It is clear there is an issue but he was very positive about the discussion.

“The bottom line is we want to go to Brazil for the World Cup in 2014, and how are we going to do that? By getting the best players we can.”

Arsenal Have Serge Gnabry Sign Professional Contract

Gnabry Already Being Prepped For First Team Action

Showing signs of a real “killer”, Gnabry has just signed his first Professional contract. Although this will be a brief post, the importance of this event is something to take notice of. Arsenal.com thought it important enough to place in the limelight on their homepage.

“Pace, strength and an eye for goal saw Gnabry net six times in eight games for the Under-18s, including a sensational debut strike against Crystal Palace. And the attacking midfielder was able to replicate this fine form at reserve level, where he made six appearances and scored twice.” [arsenal.com]

Arsenal have big plans for this kid, just you wait, he’ll be showing up for the first team very soon. Arsenal are wise to have made their move before other clubs try to snatch him. Gnabry will be playing for the reserves against Dartford FC tomorrow (August 1st ) maybe some of us (who live in the area) should meander over there and watch the match? Let us know what you think.
