What will Arsenal do if Giroud gets injured?

Posted on August 31, 2012 by Bob

Arsenal have already waved goodbye to Nicklas Bendtner and Park Chu-Young today. There are offers from Turkish club Besiktas and Spanish side Malaga to take Marouane Chamakh on loan for the next year. So what happens if Olivier Giroud picks up an injury?

I really hope that by the end of today, Arsene Wenger can announce a new striker at the Emirates, even if it is on loan. Lukas Podolski plays as a striker sometimes, but his best position is coming in from the left side, as a support striker, or from deep. Arsenal will have only one out and out striker if Chamakh goes.

Maybe Wenger is holding on to Chamakh in case he fails to bring anyone in. There have been rumours and suggestions flying around all week about Llorente, Defoe, Dempsey and even Berbatov. Wenger could be trying to get someone permanently or on loan.

You can pretty much guarantee that if we do not get another front man, and we let Chamakh go, then we are asking for trouble. Come on Arsene, give us all something to smile about.
