Juventus to tempt Arsenal with £10m for Walcott?

Juventus prepare to offer £10 million for Walcott by TS

Arsenal are going to have a torrid time  holding onto Theo Walcott, if reports are anything to go by. It seems that Juventus are plotting to snatch the Arsenal winger by submitting an offer for his services close to the £10 million mark. This comes after tensions between the player and club became apparent when Walcott was allowed to enter the last 12 months of his contract after snubbing a long term deal worth a reported £75k weekly wage.

Theo Walcott had been linked to many big clubs during the summer transfer period, including Liverpool, Manchester City and PSG but was not sold for one reason or another, Arsene Wenger stated that he was confident that things would be worked out. Since Arsenal refused to meet the England international’s demands, however, the doorway has been left open.

Juventus are apparently the first club to step through that door carrying a £10 million gift that should be enough to entice Arsene Wenger to sell Walcott. It’s no revelation that the Arsenal boss would rather make some money off the player than have him leave for free. The added bonus comes that Walcott wouldn’t go to an English opposition either as Arsenal supporters saw with the departure of RVP.

The 23 year old winger has started just once in Arsenal’s three Premier League matches thus far in the season and the emergence of Alex Oxlade Chamberlain may well be the impetus Wenger needs to release Walcott. The England international has consistently failed to live up to his potential and with him entering his seventh season at Arsenal, these next few months may just decide his future-if it hasn’t been already.

Arsenal are familiar with the Turin side, already having loaned out Bendtner to Juventus on a season long deal. Can Walcott prove his worth at the Emirates or is the Arsenal winger living on borrowed time?
