Oxlade-Chamberlain intending to be at Arsenal “for a while”

Posted on September 05, 2012 by admin

The young Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has taken another big step by being included in the England sauad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers (ahead of Theo Walcott no less), and there has been talk of Arsenal offering him a new improved and extended contract to make sure he remains at the club for as long as possible.

Chamberlain has made it clear that he would be more than willing to sit down and talk about an extension but this week is not the time to do it…. “I am here to play for England this week,” he said.

“That is the only thing I am concentrating on. But if Arsenal want to sit down and talk about that, it is really good because I am loving my time there.

“I really enjoy playing for them and am planning on being there for a while.”

Well that is good to know, especially as it looks like he will be a straight replacement for the departing Theo Walcott……
