Arshavin to be sold for free while a Belgium kid has a trial by AM
Reportedly Arsenal are looking to sell Andrei Arshavin for free before the Russian transfer window closes. Earlier Arsenal were looking to sell the Russian captain £5m, but it seems that they haven’t been able to find a buyer. Zenit, where Arshavin went on loan last season, have already invested heavily in the transfer market, buying Hulk and Witsel, so that won’t be a possible destination for Arshavin.
Arshavin is not part of Wenger’s plan for this season. The diminutive midfielder’s agent has been scouring Russia to find a club interested in his client. CSKA Moscow and Anzhi Makhachkala are being linked as a possible destination for Arshavin this season. Even though Arsenal will not be able to retrieve any of the £13m they invested in him when they bought him, Arshavin’s departure will clear up some of the wage bills. The Russian transfer window closes this Thursday and it looks like Arshavin’s adventure at the Emirates might be drawing to a close.
From departure to a possible new arrivals – highly rated Belgium teenager Ismail H’Maidat is set for a trial at Arsenal. The young midfielder was unearthed at Nike talent scouting program ‘The Chance’. This program enables young talents to train and have trials at big clubs. H’Maidat is said to be someone with good leadership and technical skill.
Could he be the next super-starlet at Arsenal?
